Flo Milli, Monaleo, and Gloss Up are three names that will be on everybody’s lips this year, as they are wasting no time with their music. 2023 has already seen 2 singles and a remix from Flo Milli, a new single from Monaleo, and an album from Gloss Up, and now the three of them have teamed up to give us this new remix.
“Bed Time,” was released on July 20, 2022, as a track on Milli’s 2022 album You Still Here, Ho? The remixed single was released on March 24, 2022. Both the original and this remixed version featuring Leo and Gloss were produced by Young Fyre, a multi-platinum producer who has worked with everyone from Tech N9NE to T-Pain. The track bears a surprisingly dark tone to the seemingly bouncy track. RCA-signed Flo milli opens up with her signature nasally voice, giving Betty Boop vibes off the bat. However, despite the seemingly upbeat mood, “Bed Time” delivers some very slicing bars.
The first verse by Flo Milli sets the tone with lines like:
When I see you out in public, bitch, your ass is mine (Bitch, uh)
You can get away from me offline
But when you walk up in the club, you’ll be back in the bind (Flo Milli)
They ain’t tell you I was one of a kind
By the chorus, Milli has made it obvious what the song is about:
I might fuck around and make the headlines
Make a ho go night-night like it’s bedtime
Stomp Down signed Monaleo steps in for verse two and did not shy away from the track’s topic, boasting:
I put bitches to sleep with no NyQuill (Uh-huh)
Knock her lights out, she forgot to pay the light bill (Bitch)
I could be old and grey, it’s on sight still (The fuck)
He ain’t met a bitch that can break my bed, I will (Go), I can (Go)

Finally, QCM signed Gloss Up dishes out the third verse, carrying the torch to the last chorus and the song’s finale with formidable statements like:
This that real, real, real pretty on the wake up (Ow)
Hey, lil’ ho, what’s wrong? Pick your face up (Ow)
I sit back and observe, I don’t say much (I don’t say shit)
It’s the F&N talk for me, I stay clutched

Truthfully, all I can say…is that this song ATE! These women manage to come in with their own unique styles and stay in the pocket of the beat, while coming together to share the track more like a crew than a “collab.” Personally, I would be here ALL DAY for an official rap trio, if the three ever got the urge to give us one.
“Bed Time (Remix)” deserves to be on every Powerhouse Playlist of 2023 and beyond. It is an instant classic, and I hope it receives the attention it is owed.
