Premium, narrative non-fiction originals producer and commissioner of feature documentary films, ABC New Studios will release documentary titled “Rap Trap: Hip-Hop on Trial” on Hulu February 23.
The doccie will be an hour-long of dissecting and exploring the use of rap lyrics. It unpacks the divide in it being right to criminally prosecute Hip-Hop artists because of their explicit lyrics, and whether or not they possess rights to speak freely in this form of art. Hulu’s Rap Trap: Hip Hop on Trial is set to host exclusive interviews to Young Thug‘s ex-partner Jerrika Karlae, CEO of 300 Entertainment Kevin Liles, Hip-Hop player Fat Joe, Killer Mike, Will.i.am. Killer expanded on in this documentary “rap” theme,
“Rap music is judged unlike any other genre like Black people are judged unlike any other people.”

Recently, Gunna and other members of the YSL reportedly took plea deals after months on hold. He pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge back in December 2022. The public were convinced members who got out early snitched on Young Thug. Gunna said this in a statement following his release from jail,
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”
