South African Hip-Hop super producer MashBeatz will step in on Apple Music’s ‘Rap Life Africa’ for the rest of the year. Apple Music announced that the cover will light up on all African storefronts from December 9th TO December 15th. In doing so, the accompanying track will be ‘After The War.’
Apple Music’s info tab includes what the song is about and represents, straight from MashBeatz’s words. He says,
“The song is about the after-effects of war, that is peace. The song-making process started off with Thato Saul lacing his verse, followed by Tyson Sybateli later on. I asked Halo Yagami to send me a hook based on the concept. I also wanted some reggae type of feeling, so I asked Teerage to send me an intro with that reference. The switch-up at the end came from the session I had with Black Myth- I felt it would be dope on the same track.”
