Babyface enlists Doechii to get us all in a party mood with their brand-new collaboration “Girls Night Out.”
‘Girls Night Out’ is a part of the collection of songs that belong to R&B legend Babyface’s latest album. It is an upbeat R&B, and Rap that could easily sashay into the Pop music spectrum.
“Took a break
Back on my bullsh*t, for now I’m here to stay
Is that you watchin’ me from behind the gate?
I had plus one but it’s not you today…”
The song truly highlights how sultry her voice is throughout the verses and the choruses. The chemistry between her and Babyface extends beyond their vocals. Lyrically they are both cohesive meanwhiles showing both the male and female perspectives.
Babyface on the bridge is the icing on the cake. It was very short and sweet, yet still very impactful with the song. It had true cohesion and didn’t feel like it was unnecessary at all. Lyrically it showed a man’s perspective of being attracted to the girl, how beautiful she is, and how the other man is missing out.
“Girls Night Out” has so much replay value and it is catchy enough to be played on Pop radio formats. I’d definitely recommend this song be added to everyone’s playlists, it’s truly enjoyable. It earns a 4/5-star rating!
